TQ WULING Commences Local Assembly of Bingo EV in Malaysia

TQ WULING announced the official commencement of local assembly (CKD) of the TQ WULING Bingo EV in Malaysia. This marks a significant milestone in the brand’s long-term commitment to the Malaysian automotive industry and the country’s growing electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem.

The TQ WULING Bingo EV is locally assembled at Tan Chong Group’s manufacturing facility in Segambut, a plant with a proven automotive manufacturing track record and internationally recognised quality and process standards, including ISO certifications. This milestone brings together SAIC-GM-Wuling’s (SGMW) global EV expertise with Tan Chong Group’s deep local manufacturing know-how, ensuring vehicles that meet international quality benchmarks while being optimised for Malaysian customers.

As part of the initial ramp-up phase, TQ WULING is adopting a phased production approach, with the flexibility to scale up output in line with market demand and the continued growth of Malaysia’s EV segment. This approach ensures stable supply, quality consistency and operational efficiency as local assembly operations mature.

The TQ WULING Bingo EV is the first electric vehicle to be locally assembled at the Tan Chong Assembly Plant and is strategically priced to make electric mobility more accessible to a wider audience. Developed with a strong emphasis on safety, the Bingo EV sets a new benchmark as the first market to offer six airbags alongside the integration of 1,500 MPa ultra-high-tensile steel within its body structure. This reinforced construction not only enhances structural rigidity but is also designed to absorb impact effectively, providing improved protection for occupants.

Available in two well-equipped variants, the Bingo PRO and Bingo MAX, the model is priced at RM67,800 and RM72,800, respectively. To celebrate the launch, TQ WULING is offering Bingo’s Fabulous 5 Perks, which include a RM5,000 cash rebate. This brings on-the-road prices to RM62,800 for the Bingo PRO and RM67,800 for the Bingo MAX, positioning the Bingo EV as one of the more affordable electric vehicles in the market, making EV ownership more accessible to a wider range of Malaysian consumers.

The first 500 customers who place an order will enjoy benefits worth up to RM12,000 under the Bingo’s Fabulous 5 Perk offer, comprising the RM5,000 cash rebate, comprehensive battery and drive motor warranties, low monthly instalments from RM625, a complimentary 7kW home EV charger, portable 3-pin EV charger and TQ premium solar tinting package, and 17 comprehensive insurance benefits with special EV coverage.

Customers can place their bookings for the TQ WULING Bingo EV with a booking fee of just RM50 via the tqwuling.my website, at any TQ WULING showroom or during any TQ WULING roadshow.
